On the cookie subject - what if you used a chocolate chip recipe - substitute Lemon Extract for the vanilla then add some lemon zest and the white chips instead of chocolate?

I don't think the cookie I had contained any brown sugar. Could you substitute all white sugar for the brown sugar in a chocolate chip cookie recipe?

OOPS - I didn't think about the sugar issue. I think you could. With mother's rolled sugar cookies the recipe can have either brown or white sugar. If you decide to experiment see if the recipe you use can be halved. That way if it is a disaster you won't have wasted as many ingredients. The only factor problematic in 1/2 of recipe is the number of eggs.
