For Today...
Outside my window... the fall weather is so lovely.
I am thinking... about crawling in bed.
I am thankful for... Nina not turning into an icicle on her campout last weekend. It got down below freezing, and I kept worrying that I hadn't packed enough warm clothes for her. She did fine though and had a great time! I'm also thankful that Addie's stomach bug Friday night didn't last long.
From the kitchen... meatball subs from the crockpot.
I am creating... Halloween costumes with the girls.
I am going... to Texas in January, I think, for my cousin's wedding. Why do my cousins choose the hottest and coldest months for weddings? The last wedding was Dallas in July. Scorcher!
I am reading... The Unlikely Disciple: A Sinner's Semester at America's Holiest University by Kevin Roose. I finished Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. It was such a sweet, poignant book. It is a children's book, but it will make just about anyone reevaluate their views of disabled people. Elise read it this week too, and I just passed it along to my mom today.
I am hoping... that it doesn't rain on Halloween. There is some rain in the forecast, and I keep hoping it stays away.
I am hearing... swords clashing as J.C. plays Zelda on the Wii.
Around the house... are bits and pieces of Halloween costumes.
One of my favorite things... getting Christmas cards done early! They arrived today!
A few plans for the rest of the week... trick-or-treating, lots of jump rope, and maybe book club.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing... Nina's Girl Scout troop on their camp out.

I read "The Unlikely Disciple" when it came out 4 years ago. It was definitely interesting to someone like me who is into the religious side of sociology.

I think I need the crockpot meatball recipe!

Jen - I'm not at all surprised you read it. It sounds just like your usual reading material! :)
Robin - it is very complicated.... 1 bag frozen meatballs. 1 jar spaghetti sauce. Throw in crockpot all day. Scoop on to sub roll with mozzarella cheese. Broil. Serve. :) Enjoy!
