For Today...
Outside my window... the weather is just perfect! I think spring has officially arrived. I love days like today.
I am thinking... that my back hurts. I think I pulled something yesterday as a result of lifting post-vacation suitcases and laundry baskets.
I am thankful for... a really wonderful Disney vacation. It had its moments of not-so-wonderfulness, but overall, we had a great time.
From the kitchen... shrimp kabobs and asparagus on the grill, oven roasted potatos, and rolls. I just got finished peeling and deveining the shrimp and was reminded why I don't fix shrimp very often. That has got to be one of the most messy, time-consuming, stinky kitchen chores. I think I may have to follow in my mom's footsteps. She convinced my dad and me that she was allergic to raw shrimp, so if we wanted shrimp, he and I had to do all the peeling. I can find a way to fake a rash all over my hands, right?
I am creating... lots of Disney blog posts. If you're Disney'd out already, just stay away from the blog for a week or so.
I am going... to enjoy sitting outside with my grill tonight.
I am reading... The Fixer Upper by Mary Kay Andrews. I was going to start my next book club book, but the wifi on my Kindle is broken. The USB cord is still packed away somewhere, so I went with something that was already downloaded instead. I finished From Notting Hill with Love... Actually by Ali McNamara. That was a cute book. If you enjoy chick lit and movies like Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, Bridget Jones' Diary, and Four Weddings and a Funeral, this is a fun read. You really need to know the movie scenes though.
I am hoping... that my back recovers soon.
I am hearing... quiet... the calm before the storm. The girls will be home from art camp soon.
Around the house... half-unpacked suitcases and backpacks.
One of my favorite things... daffodils and tulips.
A few plans for the rest of the week... art camp for the girls, a night out with my department at work, and lots of laundry.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing...
