For Today...
Outside my window... it is dark... I'm writing this in the wee hours of the morning.
I am thinking... about all the things I need to get done around the house.
I am thankful for... Elise's x-rays showing that her ankle is healing properly, and the doctor letting her out of the boot. She'll start physical therapy today.
From the kitchen... teriyaki chicken, rice, and edamame.
I am creating... Valentines with the girls.
I am going... to have lunch with my dad today.
I am reading... The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. I'm enjoying it so far. I finished Mrs. Kennedy and Me by Clint Hill and loved, loved, loved it. It was such a wonderful, touching memoir. If you have any interest in Jackie Kennedy or the secret service or just want a great book to read, I highly recommend it.
I am hoping... that Elise gets into the middle school we want. I have to submit a transfer application next week.
I am hearing... the computer humming.
Around the house... we're trying desperately to clean up and get the house looking presentable. We have two members of the USA All-Star jump rope team staying with us this weekend.
One of my favorite things... mushrooms.
A few plans for the rest of the week... cleaning, straightening, dusting, doing laundry, making beds, and working Girl Scout cookie booths.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

Who doesn't love Girl Scout Cookies! How did the cleaning go? I'm doing a home organizing challenge and love the changes so far. Hope you had a great week.
