As someone allergic to cats, I agree that the statement about Persian cats sounds like an opinion to me! I did a little research on the noun/adjective thing. I wasn't sure what to call them, but my gut said that they weren't adjectives...is there such a thing as two word nouns? Apparently, yes. In the case of "mold fossil" or "cast fossil," the whole thing is a compound noun. Compound nouns (not to be confused with compound words) do not have to be joined together as one word but can be separate (or hyphenated). Who knew? Probably 3rd graders...


Amanda was going through the same things in her class! Why can't they use simple examples while teaching these concepts??
