Outside my window... it is hot and steamy.
I am thinking... about the photo software that has suddenly decided to stop working and is making me very frustrated.
I am thankful for... a safe trip to D.C. without losing any girls in the crowd of 250,000 Girl Scouts on the mall on Saturday. (Well, technically, we lost a couple, but not for too long!)
From the kitchen... meatball subs, grapes, and Sun Chips.
I am creating... a blog post from our trip.
I am going... to head out in a few minutes to pick up a bunch of girls from Girl Scout day camp.
I am reading... In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson. This is a long book, so it is going to take me a while to slog through it, but it is really good.
I am hoping... Addie gets out of the funk she was in on our trip. I think it is just hard when you are four to be in a strange place and off your usual routine and schedule.
I am hearing... ice skating on TV that Nina is watching.
Around the house... suitcases full of dirty, sweaty laundry that needs to be washed.
One of my favorite things... sleeping in my own bed after vacation.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Girl Scout daycamp for Elise and "stream team" camp for Nina (she'll be hiking through the woods along a stream looking for frogs, newts, and snakes. She is totally psyched!).
Here is a picture thought I am sharing... a picture Nina took near the Washington Monument Saturday at "Girl Scouts Rock the Mall".
