For Today...
Outside my window... it is dark and cold.
I am thinking... about what trash TV might be on the DVR for me to watch tonight - perhaps some Kardashians?
I am thankful for... finally getting an appointment scheduled for next month with the pediatric pulmonologist. Elise missed school on Friday and had to drop out of one of the jump rope group routines on Sunday because she couldn't get through it without coughing. She sounds like this much too often.
From the kitchen... spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and some really yummy chocolate chocolate chip cookies from Trader Joe's I am creating... a few blog posts. I am going... to go eat another cookie. I am reading... Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain. I'm not crazy about it so far, but I've only read about a chapter. Hopefully it will get better. I finished Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom and thought it was wonderful. I'm looking forward to discussing it at book club this month. I am hoping... that a money tree grows in my back yard soon to pay for orthodontia. I am hearing... a nice quiet house. Everyone is in bed. Around the house... we just recovered from Christmas when Addie's birthday party came along, so it looked like a birthday party exploded everywhere. I'll be glad when the holiday/birthday season is over. One of my favorite things... sleep. A few plans for the rest of the week.... not much on the calendar this week, thankfully... just the usual jump rope and Girl Scout commitments. Here is a picture thought I am sharing...my metal head... she got her ears pierced last week and braces today.

Elise will be able to pick up any radio station she wants now. Just kidding. Braces are the best gift parents can give their children, I think. I'm thankful I had them. Elise is very pretty. Beautiful eyes and smile. I would like a cutting from your backyard money tree, please.

Definitely one of my favorite things is sleep as well. I think of it often!
Please let me know where you got your money tree. I'll take two!
Love the "metal head" picture!

Dana has the same cough this time year, thinking it's more allergy related since it's only started occurring since we moved here.....uuuggghhhh. Karlie would love to be such a "metal head" but no money tree here.....Hoping I find one for these upcoming years cuz it's much needed! Five eye Dr. appointments soon then I am sure glasses or contacts =broke tree!
