1. Eight year olds are very busy people. Scheduling time for three of them to work together on a science fair project is next to impossible. You'd think we were scheduling a meeting for three hot-shot executives rather than third graders. Gymnastics, illness, piano, homework, dance, scouts, Y princesses, birthday parties, play dates, track-out camp, board meetings, taxes, alligator wrestling, ice fishing, hang gliding... the list goes on and on.
2. You can cook hot dogs in a Pringles can! Who knew?
3. Elementary school science fairs should have two categories... student projects and parent projects. Currently, all of them are displayed together under the guise of being student projects. Somehow that just doesn't seem fair to the students who actually completed their projects themselves.
5. J.C. gets to be in charge of the science fair project next year!
