First Day of School Images

I am feeling so sick, frustrated, and angry over the first day of school that I didn't want muddy these sweet pictures by going on a rant about the day. That will have to go in another post. For now, here are the pictures from the morning of the first day of school this week.

First...my big kindergartener, Nina! Can you tell she was excited? You could not wipe that smile off her face!

 

Elise is starting third grade this year. It is hard to believe she is starting the second half of elementary school!

 

Nina was crazy-excited to ride the bus, so she quickly took off toward the bus stop. I'm not sure what was more exciting to her - kindergarten or the bus! 

 

 

We have 4 new kindergarteners at our bus stop this year. The kids always have a blast playing tag or jumping rope before the bus arrives.

 

 

 

<A little foreshadowing for the next post> Notice that I don't have a picture of Nina actually getting ON the bus.

Instead, here is a picture of Nina last week at Meet the Teacher with her sweet kindergarten teacher, Mrs. S. Mrs. S was Elise's kindergarten teacher too, and we're thrilled to have her a second time!

Yes! Very sweet photos. Great documentation of the start of school. How exciting. I like seeing the group photo too.

Gosh...wonder why Nina didn't ride the bus?! She was soooo excited, too! I'll stay tuned. Hope she's able to ride it Thursday! Buses are exciting things when you're that age!
