We hope all of our friends and family had a wonderful Christmas! We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift than Addison, but of course that didn't stop Santa from bringing plenty of other things for the girls! We have all had a fun holiday.
Christmas Eve, the girls got to open one gift (PJ's or nightgowns for everyone), and they had a blast throwing out reindeer food on the lawn. They also nestled down on the couch to watch the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular with Dad! (Here in the House of Estrogen, he has to be a good sport about watching things like ice skating and the Rockettes!)
Christmas morning brought on the onslaught of High School Musical paraphenalia which was a huge hit!!
After unsuccessful attempts with two different pacifier brands, we took an outing to Target yesterday to pick up a few more options in hopes of finding one Addison likes. Third one was a charm! We have a winner! With the pacifier planted firmly in mouth, she gave me an hour of quiet this morning, allowing for a nice peaceful shower for mama!! Of course, sleep deprivation reared its ugly head during the relaxing shower time. We have a glass enclosed shower, so we always squeegee the glass clean after we're done. Apparently, I decided I was done with my shower, so I carefully squeegee'd every pane of glass from top to bottom. It was only after this effort that I realized I had not yet turned off the shower! Nice one! ;)
Elise has a new song to sing... "All I want for Christmas is my three front teeth!" She lost another while we were at the hospital having Addison. Kudos to the tooth fairy for staying on top of things here at home!!
We were going stir-crazy in the hospital, and since this was a third child and we are supposedly "old pros", we got our get-out-of-jail-free card a day early. Just 28 hours after delivery, we headed home. Here are a couple more hospital pics.
We are slowly but surely ticking things off our master "to do before baby's arrival" list. I think the nursery is finally ready, so I thought I'd share a couple of pictures. This is the first time we've ever known the gender before the birth, so it has been fun to do a totally pink, girly, flowery nursery this go 'round! Now to get that hospital bag packed!
